Day 9 Chemo 2. Fri. 08/18/2017 3:43PM “Ifugao Outfit”

Day 9 Chemo 2. Fri. 08/18/2017 3:43PM

It’s another relaxing day in the clinic. Not much patient. I left the clinic at 2:30PM.

This morning I had another encouraging conversation with my Guardian Angel.

While preparing my warm calamansi juice with honey, I heard my son complaining that he did not like his “Ifugao Outfit” (Native Outfit in the Cordilleras of Luzon Province, Philippines). It was a fashion antipathy that we could not argue with him about, thus we ended up modifying his outfit by letting him wear a white shirt under the upper sleeve less chalico because he never wanted to expose his underarms. It was the same thing with the slippers too. He wanted to look as sporty as he could be so he turned down the slippers and we had him wear a white rubber shoes instead. And that’s probably what modern native would look like hi..hi..hi, because we couldn’t make him stop whimpering with the original costume.

As for my mom, she wasn’t discharged from the hospital yet. Hopefully, by tomorrow she would be. And she will start relaxing in the room we prepared for her. Excitement abounds except that I myself is still grappling with the hoarseness of my voice. I haven’t fully recovered from cough and colds. I got to be well tomorrow so I could enjoy the date with my co-doctors from my previous clinic at PSH (Perpetual Succour Hospital) to celebrate my advance birthday treat.

From the clinic I got home early, prayed the rosary and logged an early entry with this journal. I am aiming of course to have an early sleeping time because it’s going to be a long day tomorrow.
