Day 10 Chemo 2. Sat. 08/19/2017 11:05PM
I woke up without nasal congestion and that gave me the impetus to keep moving right away, tidying up my room, sprucing up the living room and dining room. And to soothe my still awful voice I had to drink 3 cups of turmeric tea followed with a quick breakfast to get ready for work.
When I arrived at my clinic, there was only one couple and my secretary. To my surprise, they all greeted me with a birthday song. Entering in my cubicle, there was again another surprise. My secretary made a Happy Birthday decoration embellished with bouquet of flowers and a basket of fruits laid on my table. Thank you to my thoughtful secretaries Christian Abigail Formentera and Rhea Noval Caromayan, who almost got late to work because of their birthday stupefaction. They are so Sweet!!!
I left my clinic about 2PM to transfer to the main branch of “BB” Tiu’s Ultrasound Clinic in Private, Cebu City. The jump was quite long that I ended up finishing everything around 6PM already. Getting into the rhythm of my birthday bash we then had picture taking with my staff to celebrate an advance birthday party.
From there I drove to Waterfront Hotel at Lahug, Cebu City to have dinner with Dr. Maria Christina Aban , Dr. Marissa Garcia and Dr. Cytesse Cambronero and Henry Gochuan who couldn’t make it. We enjoyed each other's company and had a good meal at Tin Gow. It was quite extravagant and fancy but worth the taste as it was alluringly delicious.
Onwards, we watched the free concert of Nina at Cebu Casino Filipino, still in Waterfront Hotel, Lahug, Cebu City. Nina displayed a very nice voice, very soothing to the ears and very relaxing. The kind of music that I liked. The rendition wasn’t a minus one but an accompaniment of acoustic guitar and well-played keyboard which made the entire sound and melody so cool.
I have to go. I need to wake up early for my 5AM mass for my birthday. God bless us all!!!
