Day 6 Chemo 2.Tue. 08/15/2017 11:52AM
Thank you Lord!. Finally, almost 100% of my energy is back and so with my appetite.
There’s nothing compared to when you are 100% functional, that even the menial thing of the house you can really execute. I was able to get my son ready for school, put order into the room of my nieces, their things, beddings, swept the floors, spruced-up the living room, brushed the kitchen sink, as well as the bathroom floors. Thank you Lord for the terrific energy. It felt so good to be back in the household chores again.
Subsequent to the freshening shower I had, I still continued the foray of arrangement in the house. I folded the clean linens from the big laundry box and asked each of my nieces who were around to double check their own stuff and get them organized.
In latin there’s a saying: “Carpe Diem”, which means “Seize the day”. I think that just what I did when I had the burst of energy in my body. Little things in the house were pursued relentlessly with vigour. And of course this did not mean losing touch with my social responsibilities. All the more that I was into it. So after all the grind I greeted my cousin Katherine Jill Acosta - Coh a "Happy Birthday" through Facebook messenger. We exchanged news about families and I knew from her that Rabbi had already disclosed to her the condition of my mom.
As days went on also with the stay of mom in the Hospital I had been wanting to get an update of her whereabouts of which the doctors were kind of slow to release. And just right on time, Lea and Sinead came over to my room and gave me the advice that mom might possibly be discharge this coming Thursday.
“Thank you Lord for the energy and thank you for the splendid news on mom.”
