Day 4 Chemo 2. Sun. 08/13/2017 8:40PM
I was able to wake up for the 5AM Sunday Mass even though my energy seemed still to be dwindling. When I got home from the church I went back to sleep and rest until my family woke me for breakfast. It wasn’t that good for my appetite but at least it regained slowly in the later part of the afternoon during our lunch to be precise.
Right after lunch I tried to get another siesta but could not really sleep that continuously. I kept finding the comfortable position for my head. There was that weird feeling of having my head get suckered into the pillowcase, that it felt so heavy all the time when lying down, now that my head is shaved off.
Condition seemed to be going in circle. I tried to get more rest as I could but energy just kept vacillating. It could be an effect of the appetite that had never gone back to normal just yet. Somehow, even with such inconvenience I was relieved from the discomfort of gastritis that I did not even take the antacids. I definitely look forward to have everything going normal by tomorrow. What comfort would it be when appetite is back, no nasal congestion bothering, energy rising at its peak, resting and sleeping soundly. “God have mercy on me and my mom, that we will both recover fully and see ourselves handling the normal chores you have placed upon us.”
