Day 8 Chemo 2. Thu. 08/17/2017 8:35PM "Kodus to the new President - Rodrigo Duterte"

Day 8 Chemo 2. Thu. 08/17/2017 8:35PM

What a nice day today? My son Zac woke me up so I could give him a bath. How sweet indeed for a mom. With the early positive vibes I got everything set in preparation for the early discharge of mom from the hospital. I gave to Ate Sinead all the necessary instructions in settling the administrative and financial duties needed to clear for her release. She was again the mercuric assistant running around for all the errands.

Upon arriving in my clinic, there were not much patients, so we ended up so relaxed in catering to all of them. Patients came in moderate pace giving us all the breather that we need even with our lunch which was so relaxed as well. I was done in the clinic at around 3PM.

From the clinic I proceeded to SM City Cebu to renew my driver’s license. Even in the LTO (Land Transportation Office) everything was also tranquil most especially that it was about to close. I lined up in the PWD (Person With Disability) counter where I was the only person in the priority lane. All the more, that made the whole thing really fast and smooth since assistance was always given especially with the doctors for the Physical Examination who obviously noticed me as cancer patient on chemo. Having experienced with what I dealt they shared their own stories to me. The male doctor was quite unfortunate because he lost his wife from  a stage 4 breast cancer. The female doctor on the other hand was still coping up with the laryngeal cancer of her brother. It wasn’t all good news, yet sharing the same experience gave us sympathy to each other.

I finally got my renewed driver's license in less than an hour with no plastic ID. They reckoned that plastic ID might be available after a year. That long ha! License of course, will last for 5 years instead of 3 years. It was a real consolation in the newly implemented regulation set by the newly elected President Rudy “Digong” Duterte. Something to be proud of. My seatmate in the waiting hall also pointed out that even with the new passport the expiry date would go up to 10 years instead of 5 years. Stunning achievement by the current president who had shown remarkable difference from the previous presidents who could not imposed a thing or two but instead made the process even more difficult for the common people to procure their licenses. At PRC (Professional Regulation Commission) the mechanics of obtaining and renewing of professional license had improved quite a lot too of which I had observed when I took mine last June 2017. Kodus to the new president. I didn’t say he has no flaws, ‘coz he but just human too, but he did a lot of logical changes on things that for many years nobody from the higher ups had cared about. It was a good vote then I made for him, because a lot of us are now enjoying the comforts of the new improvements he materialised in the system of government services.
